Steamex of Long Island was founded in 1960 with an immediate success of Steamex carpet extractors. The machine had revolutionized the industry. In addition, we started our own chemical supply called "SOLI" which stands for "Steamex of Long Island". Over the years the company added damage restoration products, pesticide chemicals, and soaps. During the 911 attacks, SOLI joined forces with local authorities and restoration contractors by supplying them with emergency equipment and supplies. This sorrowful event had given "SOLI " a great deal of exposure and recognition throughout the Tri-State area. As American citizens we felt this was our constitutional duty to help out the men and women who were injured and lost their lives.
